Observatory objectives
 
General objectives: - To know and assess the national and international situation of the products and processes within ANMAT regulatory scope with a view to identifying the problems affecting public´s health and putting forward actions or measures as a response to the needs identified. - To receive, produce, systematize, construe and communicate reliable and timely information obtained from primary and secondary sources to determine the course of action to be taken and strengthen the decision-making process. Secondary objectives: - To organize and coordinate Participatory Diagnosis Fora, meetings with the Academic Scientific Advisory Committee and Professional Associations to design strategies for a joint and coordinated action by ANMAT and the institutions involved. - To design and implement specific intervention policies based on the strategies agreed on in the Participatory Diagnosis Fora, meetings with Professional Associations and the Academic Scientific Advisory Committee. - To design and develop actions and programs to bring ANMAT closer to the citizenry, on the basis of joint work with health-related NGOs, foundations, government agencies and private sector institutions. - To organize and carry out activities allowing for inquiring the public about their habits and behavior in relation to the products and processes within ANMAT regulatory scope, thus, fostering a democratic and responsible citizenry based on its active involvement in public affairs. - To design and make up an information organization and analysis system. - To collect, systematize and analyze existing data from the Vigilance Systems (Pharmacovigilance, Sanitary Vigilance, Technovigilance, Cosmetovigilance) and the National Program for the Market Control of Medicines and Medical Devices in order to create indicators that allow for understanding the current situation and planning the institutional intervention course of action to be taken. - To create a General Matrix of Indicators with the view to systematizing and organizing the information gathered by the Vigilance Systems (Pharmacovigilance, Sanitary Vigilance, Technovigilance, Cosmetovigilance) and the National Program for the Market Control of Medicines and Medical Devices. - To disseminate the information systematized within our institution to strengthen institutional decision-making processes.
